SiteKiln Terms of Service

1. What you buy

A SiteKiln purchase is a **generated website artifact**: HTML/CSS built

from your questionnaire answers and our design system, delivered as a

preview and (on acceptance) deployed to hosting.

• You own the generated artifact. An **HTML export** is always available

from your manage link — no lock-in, keep it forever.

• **Included hosting**: 12 months of managed hosting on our Cloudflare

infrastructure from your deploy date. After that, renew at $9/yr or

export — your call. We never promise "forever" hosting; we promise the

term above.

• **Domain names are yours purchased at your registrar** (Squarespace,

Porkbun, Dynadot, Namecheap, GoDaddy…). We may earn a referral

commission when you use our links — you pay the same registrar price.

Domain registration, renewal, and ToS are between you and the registrar.

• Subdomain sites (`name.kiln-network`) are licensed hostnames, not

domain registrations.

2. Refreshes & edits

• Each purchase includes **5 design regenerations** ("refreshes") you

trigger. Internal retries by our pipeline don't count against you.

• Post-purchase edits (text, palette, sections, photos, video embeds) are

available from your manage link: 10 free edit operations/month, then

metered via edit packs or a care plan.

• Media uploads require a care plan or edit pack. Images only (jpg/png/

gif/webp, ≤5MB each, 20/order); video via YouTube/Vimeo embed links.

2.1 Integrity stamp — "don't trust, verify"

• Every generated site embeds a content-hash integrity stamp

(sha256:… visible in the page source and footer). The digest is computed

over the exact bytes we shipped to you — anyone can recompute it and

confirm the site is untampered.

• Edits made through your official manage link re-render the site and

re-issue a fresh stamp; the digest recorded in our deployment

ledger is the source of truth — re-stamping the file yourself cannot

forge it, because the ledger never sees your edit.

• Content modified outside our editor breaks the stamp. A site whose

bytes no longer match its declared digest is unverified: we cannot

guarantee its uptime, accuracy, security, or compliance, and the stamp

will show it. Support for tampered sites is limited to re-render or

restore from the last verified build.

• Self-edit unlock. You may lift the lock from your manage link

(one-way, requires your manage token). An unlocked site is

customer-managed: its stamp no longer vouches for anything, and the

integrity verdict reports customer-managed rather than verified or

tampered. Relocking is not offered — a relock would assert a guarantee

we can't make over bytes we didn't review.

3. Your responsibilities

• You warrant you own or have rights to all content you upload or request.
• No phishing, impersonation, malware, spam landing pages, or illegal

content. Generated copy is screened; violating sites are suspended and

unpublished. Regulators/hosts may be notified as required.

• Manage links are bearer credentials — keep yours private. Request a

rotation if you lose control of it.

4. Our controls (the honest part)

• Sites are reviewed by automated gates including content moderation.

Flagged sites queue for human review rather than publishing.

• Disputes/chargebacks suspend all sites on the account pending review

(30-day grace, then takedown). Fraud or abuse = immediate suspension,

no refund.

• We may suspend sites that threaten our infrastructure's reputation or

availability, with notice and export access preserved.

• Rate limits, velocity tiers, and bot screening apply to free surfaces.

5. Pricing & payment

Prices are listed at checkout (one-time packs + optional care plan). All

payments are processed by our merchant-of-record (Dodo Payments), which

handles taxes/VAT and card processing. We don't store card numbers.

6. Liability

• The service is provided "as is." AI-assisted generation may produce

imperfect copy; you review and approve the preview before publish.

• Our liability caps at the amount you paid in the trailing 12 months.
• We're not liable for registrar actions, DNS propagation, or third-party

embed hosts (YouTube/Vimeo availability is theirs).

7. Termination

You can stop anytime — export your site and let the term lapse. We may

end service for ToS violations; otherwise sites run to their paid term.
